One can only imagine the longterm psychological impact on those individuals, but even more disturbing is the indirect psychological impact on the part of those who could have been victims. Those who witnessed the carnage from five or five thousand miles away share a common emotion in an interconnected world.

On one hand, this revolution maintained that the legitimacy of a state could not be justified on the basis of divine right, but only on the basis that the state represented a particular community known as a nation through a concept of democratic government.
