Cried and asked his dad why he couldn't be at home like other fathers. Kenneth gently explained why, and then they got on their knees and prayed together. That settled it for Ken Jr. He understood and never questioned again why his dad couldn't always be at home with him. Having a daddy who traveled in the ministry was harder on Ken Jr. than it was on Pat. I think it's harder for little boys to be apart from their fathers because boys need that father image growing up. But Ken Jr. was so wonderful about the fact that his father was in the traveling ministry.
And we have remained faithful to the call and to the plan of God ever since. As I said before, it doesn't really cost to obey God; it pays.
