The fascinating experiment on tiny Planet Earth continued to attract souls into physical bodies, and as the population flourished on Mu, adventurous ones cast forth in ships to explore other parts of the globe. Some went to what were then slim stretches of land in today's North and South America, and since there was an open strait between the two segments, they sailed freely to Atlantis through what is now the isthmus and the Caribbean. Atlantis was then a semitropical paradise peopled by the Red race, and also by animal-like humans with grotesque bodies who descended from the perpetrators of Original Sin.
Another day the Guides continued their dissertation on the so-called war between the sexes, writing, "Remember that women were as active as men in producing the wonders of an ancient age, for there was no differentiation between the sexes and each was half of the whole. God himself is totally whole, being neither male nor female, and the only reason Jesus spoke of God as 'Our Father' was to conform to the customs of the times. In the Semitic race man was the head of the household, and women were often treated like chattel; yet look at the wondrous women depicted in the Old and New Testaments!
They say their attunement to creative forces was so perfect that no illness or disease existed, so that they could remain in physical body as long as they chose. "But as they became more earthbound and heavier in substance, accidents naturally occurred, since the souls were not accustomed to protecting themselves from barriers through which they previously, as light bodies, had effortlessly passed. Thus some returned to spirit for no reason other than that they had inadvertently destroyed their ability to sustain life in the physical body they had entered.
